spider legs

Its almost HALLOWEEN!!! I swear this is my favorite holiday but just wait until November and you will find out that Thanksgiving is my favorite, but dont stop there because I'm pretty sure Christmas is my favorite too! I just love, love, love holidays with all of my heart. Its a day to do so many extra special things! I like to randomly do nice things for others but I think that holidays just give me extra license to do them. This Halloween I am dressing up as Little Red Riding Hood. I have to work on Halloween but I'm still dressing up at work. Im also baking cup cakes as we discuss this. Im going to decorate them like spiders and then give them to my students. Its going to be tons of fun!

So the Halloween fun so far has been quite a bit more than last year. I went to my very first corn maze with Shari Beari and all the gang from her apartment. It was so much fun, but sadly I wore a bright color so I couldn't hide in the corn and scare people. In any case it was a blast! They even had this pit of corn that you could play in, I'm pretty sure it was for little kids but I think we had just as much fun as any 5 year old could in that pit!

Posin at the pumpkin patch!

The second thing I did for Halloween was to carve Pumpkins, I carved some with my cousin Britney then I carved more with my cousins Rhiannan and Marynell.
I only have the one picture of Britney with our pumpkins tho...

The third thing I did for Halloween was to go to a Haunted house with Miss Emily, Kirk, Sleight and Emily 2. We had tons of fun. First we went out to dinner, then we saw a scary movie (Paranormal Activity 3) then we went to the Haunted house. We went to the Haunted house called Nightmare on 13th. Click here to learn more about the Haunted House! It was soooooo scary! Im pretty sure I climbed up a wall at one point because I was so scared! And of course the boys made the girls go first because as kirk pointed out "We boys wont get scared so you girls have to go first so you can actually enjoy it." WHATEVER!!! Kirk was scared out of his mind! He just didn't wanna go first.

I have come to the conclusion that if I cant see the monster, he cant see me. Therefor I close my eyes and hide behind my hand!

The fourth thing so far that I have done for halloween is to take the girls Trunk or Treating. That is where you go to a large parking lot and people have their trunks open and they are full of candy. The kids walk around and say "Trunk or Treat!" then they get some candy. Its just like Trick or Treating but less walking. Marynell dressed as a Witch and Nan dressed as a Vampire! They looked so good! After that we came home, cooked pumpkin seeds and watched Casper the friendly Ghost!

I love Halloween. It may just be one of my favorite holidays of life. This year I am dressing up as little red riding hood (skanky version) Im super excited. Now I hope I can find some fun parties to go to while wearing my new outfit! So far I have gotten to go to a corn maze with some friends for halloween. Im thinking more fun like this will follow in the near future!!!

On a lets get you caught up note, I got a fantastic job at a college. I LOVE IT!!! Im kind of an assistant teacher. Big step up from being unemployed thank goodness.

Also I had my 21st birthday! went and partied the night away. I got a tattoo on my foot as a present to myself as well as getting my nose re pierced. It was sooo much fun!!! There I am with my first legal drink!!! A Malibu Hurricane!

where did my manners go?

The next time you look in the mirror, smile.

The next time you walk down the street, scuff your shoes a little to let the world know you been there.

The next time fall comes around, hop on all the fallen leaves until they wont crunch anymore.

The next time you get a balloon, let go.

The next time you take a drink, savor.

The next time you stand in line to pay, make conversation.

The next time you see something drop, pick it up.

The next time a child turns around in their seat and makes a face at you, make one back.

The next time see someone you love, tell them so.

The next time you cry when someone hurts you, hug someone that loves you.

The next time you make dinner, share it with someone who doesnt have any.
The next time you meet someone new, be nice.

The next time you outgrow your shirt, donate it.

The next time you build a snowman, take a bite out of his carrot nose.

The next time you have something to say, say it.

barefoot in blue jeans

So a ton has happened since we last talked. I moved to Arizona, failed at life, then moved back to Utah. I tried, I really did. I love Arizona but the apartment that I found was in ghetto town and I was sorrounded by Heroin and Crack addicts. Not my favorite of things. I was offered a couple of jobs however they just were not my kind of thing so tail between my legs I carted myself home to Utah. I have been home now for a little over a month and boy am I glad! I missed this place a lot. I know, I know, I never thought I would see myself admitting that either but there it is in writing. Basically written in stone, I cant even pretend it didnt happen because its online now where it cant be deleted. yay.

I have been going on a ton of dates, about one a week or possibly more on a good week, reading tons of books and avidly job hunting. I have come to the conclusion that although I have many skills apparently none of them can be used for the real world because I cant find a job. I have officially joined the ranks of the pathetically unemployed. yay.

So lets go through a run down of what has happened in my life. I date. Im unemployed. I spend most of my week at my aunts house with her family, Love them. I play with my little cousins. I date. I visit my friends. I began to write a book. I sent friends off on missions, and went to lagoon. I ponder buying cats and getting frumpy clothing. get sun burned.

Which reminds me, my grandfather has given me 18 months more of my dating before he thinks I will be purchasing my first cat and pulling on a frumpy sweater. love him lol. He has so much confidence in me.

continuing with the line up...looked for jobs, babysat my cousins. ate icecream after dates. learned to skateboard (im horrible) my aunt had the sweetest little baby girl. hung out with my friends. did some more dating and read at least 50 books.

Here are some pictures since my last post! Enjoy!

One of many dates. oh man so awkward. We were not meant to be.

If i dont end up with cats, I will end up with llamas.

new.

Wake up and smell the...cactus? I moved to Arizona last week and what a change! Instead of snow crusted mountains and blustery winds I have heat waves and tan lines. I just got a new apartment and I am moving in next week, for now I have been spending some time with my family members that live down here. We have been hiking the trails in the mountains and enjoying each others company. But its about time to get down to business, I have my first job interview in a couple of hours and a couple more later this week. I'm really nervous because these are not just those retail jobs that are no sweat  and easy to deal with, these are high end companies that want you to work your ass off. I think I can do it and I honestly think I'm ready for a "real" job instead of the 'Hi can I help you find what your looking for?" jobs. Thats all for now, I have a lot of work to do!!! Wish me luck!!!
